The Rotary Kiln is a kiln machine which is designed to raise materials to a high temperature (calcination) in a continuous process. The Rotary Kilns are baseful mining equipments for the pyroprocessing process and can be also used for roasting various sulfide ores prior to metal extraction.

Rotary Kilns are widely applied to heat solids to the point where a required chemical reaction(s) takes place and are ranging in size up to 7.6 meters in diameter and 190 meters in length produced by SBM.
The rotary kiln is fundamentally a rotating tending toward cylinder. Solids holding time in the kiln is an vital design factor and is set by proper selection of the diameter, length, speed, slope and internals design. There are two basic types of rotary kilns; direct fired and indirect fired.
With many features including high efficient, the rotary kilns are popular in the ore beneficiation processes.
Rotary Kiln are widely used for applications involving the processing of cement, lime, refractories, metakaoin, titanium dioxide, alumina, vermiculite, iron ore pellets. The machine has an impeller which works to create centrifugal forces in the form of negative pressure.
Rotary Kiln is widely used in chemical, construct, metallurgy, machine making, food, food processing, feed processing, environmental protection and ceramics.

The Rotary Kiln is usually working as following : The kiln is a cylindrical vessel, inclined slightly to the horizontal, which is rotated slowly about its axis. The raw material to be processed is fed into the upper end of the cylinder. While the kiln rotates, material gradually goes down towards the lower bottom, and may undergo a certain amount of stirring and mixing.
Hot gases pass along the kiln, sometimes in the same direction as the process material (co-current), but usually in the opposite direction (counter-current). The hot gases may be generated in an external furnace, or may be generated by a flame inside the kiln. Such a flame is projected from a burner-pipe (or “firing pipe”) which acts like a large bunsen burner. The fuel for this may be gas, oil or pulverized coal.
When you’re bothered by Rotary Kiln used in the chemical, construct, metallurgy, machine making, fines / coarse processing, feed processing, environmental protection and ceramics, a SBM Rotary Kiln may be the answer you’re looking for. As one of the Rotary Kiln manufacturers , we have developed many types of mangetic Rotary Kilns. One of the simplest magnetic separators, it simply replaces your existing Rotary Kiln.
